Validation Evidence for Industrial Touch Displays
Test conditions, applicable products, acceptance criteria and records must be linked to a defined product configuration. Capability statements are kept separate from verified third-party reports.

Powered aging and burn-in screening
Multiple display units can be powered and observed on controlled racks to support project-defined burn-in or aging checks. The applicable product configuration, duration, checkpoints and acceptance criteria are confirmed in the project control plan.
Evidence boundary: the room and equipment show available capability. A pass statement still requires the completed record for the applicable unit or batch.

ESD engineering verification before formal compliance testing
ESD behavior can be checked on a defined touch-display sample while the engineer records the product revision, power state, discharge mode, contact points and observed touch or display behavior.
Evidence boundary: the photograph demonstrates internal engineering capability. It does not state a voltage level, standard compliance or pass result without the corresponding test record.
Internal checks and third-party reports are not the same
| Evidence type | What it demonstrates | How it may be used |
|---|---|---|
| Engineering capability | Available equipment, review method or ability to run a defined check. | Describe the capability; do not state a product passed without a test record. |
| Internal test record | A defined sample or batch was checked against an approved plan. | Quote the result only with the condition, acceptance limit, record ID and product revision. |
| Third-party report | The tested sample/model was evaluated to the standards and setup stated in the report. | Use only within the covered sample, model, configuration and report scope. |
| Management-system certificate | The certified management-system scope and validity stated by the issuer. | Do not describe it as a product certification. |
Specification-defined validation example
A controlled 15.6-inch PCAP touch display specification provides concrete engineering targets for one documented reference configuration. These items show how validation is defined; they are not presented as a third-party certificate or a blanket pass claim for every model.
Touch acceptance targets
- 10-point projected-capacitive touch
- ≥100 Hz touch report rate
- ≤25 ms touch response time
- ±2 mm touch linearity
Optical and material targets
- >85% touch-panel transmittance
- ≥6H cover-glass surface hardness
- ≥4B ink-adhesion requirement
- 500 cd/m² typical LCD luminance
Mechanical verification items
- ≥800 gf/cm FPC pull requirement
- Impact-resistance criterion linked to cover thickness
- Drawing-based dimensional and stack-up inspection
- Appearance inspection after full optical bonding
Reliability and ESD definition
- High- and low-temperature storage items
- Temperature/humidity and 24-cycle thermal-shock items
- 8 kV contact-discharge ESD check
- 15 kV air-discharge ESD check
Evidence boundary: the controlled specification defines requirements and verification methods for the reference configuration. A pass statement requires the corresponding completed record, sample revision and result.

Optical-Adhesive UV Aging Data
500-hour supplier material report
No debonding, bubbles or visible color change recorded
This evidence applies to the tested SCA-G optical-adhesive/glass sample and is not a finished-product certification.
Important: an optional feature, supplier component record, laboratory capability or reference standard is not a product certification. Environmental, optical and EMC results are published only with the matching sample, conditions, result and model scope.

Frequently asked questions
Does a listed test capability mean every model has passed that test?
No. A capability means the method or equipment can be available. A product result must be supported by a record tied to the tested model, revision, conditions and acceptance criteria.
Can you provide third-party reports?
Report summaries or controlled copies may be provided after confirming the requested product and whether it is covered by the report scope.
How should an IP65 or IP67 claim be validated?
The complete front-panel assembly, mounting and sealing configuration must be tested under the applicable method. The rating should not be extended to a different housing, mounting method or product revision without evidence.
